Junior Ring Liturgy
Every student looks forward to the day they received their school ring! At Catholic High, Junior Ring Liturgy is a memorable tradition for our young women. From the moment students enter into school as a freshman, this is one of the many important milestones!
Every November, the school community, along with the family and friends of the Junior class, gather for a liturgy and presentation of the rings. Each year, the Juniors pick a theme for their liturgy to make it even more special. This year, the Class of 2019 picked the theme “Shining your light for all to see”.
After the liturgy is over, the Juniors and their families gather for a reception celebrating the special day. The young women gather for pictures showing off their new school ring. One of the traditions built within the tradition of receiving the ring is having others turn the ring. The amount of times the ring should turn depends on the year of graduation. So, this year, the Class of 2019 will turn their rings 119 times.
Junior Ring Liturgy is an event that the students will remember forever. Receiving your ring is a mark that you are halfway done your high school career. It is also a great way to show off your school pride. Congratulations to the Class of 2019 for receiving their rings!
