Message From The President

Dear Friends of Catholic High,

Thank you for taking the opportunity to learn about Catholic High! As you look through our web site, I am confident that you will be impressed with our school: our academic programs, extracurricular activities, our mission and Franciscan identity. Each of these is a major part of who we have been since 1939 and who we are today.

Our college preparatory programs are inclusive to accommodate different types and abilities of learners. For students who may struggle in English or Math to students in Honors level courses, we stress encouraging each young woman to work to her potential in order to prepare her for a successful life beyond Catholic High.

In addition to our academic programs, our extracurricular activities are designed to engage students beyond the classroom. We offer athletics, vocal and instrumental music, art, language, and a variety of service-oriented clubs to meet the interests of our students. We encourage all students to be involved beyond the school day.

Our Mission and Franciscan identity define who we are. Modern times do not often afford young people the opportunity to truly learn and experience what is important and valuable in life. A Catholic High education is deeply rooted in our Franciscan identity and provides our students with daily opportunities to be empowered by Gospel values. Sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, Catholic High is "dedicated to the education of young women in an environment that fosters Christian attitudes of dignity and respect for the human person and all of creation."

A Catholic High education is much more than a high school education. It is an education for life.

Thank you again for your interest in The Catholic High School of Baltimore! Please contact me personally should you have questions.

Lux Tua Luceat!
